Saw your work in the book “Instagram Poetry for Every Day” and really liked it! Sad that you quit posting on IG, but I understand as they now don’t share your work unless you pay them to pretty much 😦 I post a lot of poetry too if you ever want to check out my site.
Thanks so much! I miss posting on IG, but need to distance myself from the whole Facebook project. I’m so glad you liked the book– I will definitely check out your work!
Was there anything specific about Facebook that was the final straw? I know they have certainly become less user friendly over the years and more profit driven, which I don’t like at all. It seems like it isn’t about connecting anymore, but just about money and sometimes about spying for the government and censoring people/groups.
I felt like the whole project of Facebook is designed to hurt us as a society. My first post here was a copy of my last “content” post there, referencing an article in The Atlantic. (I still post a notice over there that I’ve got stuff over here.) There’s a bit more about it in the “About” area there.

Ok, I’ll check that out. I’m intrigued by this kind of stuff. I do think social media is doing a lot of harm to society in some ways.
